Review: Nostrand Avenue Pub on August 17, 2013

Nostrand Avenue Pub is my new favorite bar within walking distance of my house. It's probably a good thing it's not too much closer, because then I'd be in trouble! It IS located on Nostrand Ave (if you hadn't figured that one out), just south of Bergen St. Sure, it's little ways out into crown heights, but I believe well worth the trek.





Why? First of all, they have a pretty solid happy hour, with $2 off drafts and wine ALL DAY until 8pm. Second, they have a GREAT selection of interesting draft beers, that is constantly rotating. Craft beer lovers will be happy in this bar!

Third, they have AN ENORMOUS back yard! Good beer plus outdoor space? How can you resist? And if it's cold, rainy, or too buggy for you, the bar area is well designed, with booths, plenty of bar seating, and tables up front.
 

You should note that they do not serve food, but they will provide you with a curated menu book, in case yelp isn't a good enough search engine for you.

We had a blast on this happy hour adventure, with manhattan well represented!! Really, this bar is awesome. But shhhh! Don't let the word get out too far! It can be our little secret....
