Lion's Head is uptown, in the neighborhood called Manhattan Valley, but you may refer to this area as either the Upper West Side or maybe even Harlem. It's on Amsterdam between 108th & 109th, rockin out a kind of lonely corner.
It's not an enormous bar, but has enough space, with seating in the front windows, a little section in the back, plenty of bar seating, and an area for chillin' along the wall.
The drink specials weren't bad, and lasted until 8:00pm. They've got some fun specials every night ($10 pitchers of nut brown on Fridays), so if you're there another day, I bet it's worth your while.

The bar staff were friendly and nice, definitely made our group feel welcome.
We had a fun crowd that night, with a few people representin' the neighborhood!
Lion's Head was a good find, and I'd be happy to return if I'm ever up there. (Just be ready for the tiny tiny bathroom!!)
