Review: Tile Bar on Oct 26, 2012

Tile Bar is a sneaky place in an obvious location. It's right on 1st Ave & E. 7th St, but since there's no sign, it's easy to walk on by!  But if you're looking for a CHEAP drink in a no-nonsense bar, Tile Bar is it.

The happy hour specials are CHEAP...$2.50 wells, bud, miller light, wine, genessee; other beers are $3.50; call drinks are $4, ALL UNTIL 8:00PM!  After 8, drinks are still pretty cheap, especially for Manhattan.

juke box- you control the music!
Cheap is definitely the big draw for the bar.  If you like to pick your own music, there's a juke box.  If you like to order your own food, you can order delivery or bring it in.  You like meat? There's a sign about meat.

The bartenders were serving drinks, but unless you're a regular, I don't think any of them will be your new BFF.

We had a fun on this October Friday night, even though we didn't bust the doors down with our numbers, it was great to see everyone.

All in all, it's a good cheap find if you're on a budget, or want a chill, non-pretentious atmosphere.
