Happy hour in BROOKLYN!!!!!! For our first venture into my favorite NYC borough, we checked out Cherry Tree. This bar is super conveniently located only 3 blocks away from the Atlantic/Pacific train station. And if you have trouble finding it, there's always the sign outside reminding you it's a BAR (hahaha!).
The bar itself has a cozy feel to it, with brick walls and wood-framed chalkboards boasting the bar specials and offerings. Happy Hour specials include well drinks for $4, PBR & a whiskey $5, pitchers of margarita for $20, all til 8:00pm. We also learned that they have a special for teachers on Fridays 3pm til 7pm.

The space is pretty big, with a long bar along the side, and then great seating area for groups in the back. Also good to note is that they have a beautiful garden in the back that would be fabulous in nice weather.
Another great feature of Cherry Tree is the long list of beers available either on draft or in bottles. I definitely appreciate that, since I believe life is too short to drink bad beer!

| Lots of draft choices. |

| Delicious pizza! |
Cherry Tree doesn't officially serve food, but you can order pizza directly from the bartenders from South Brooklyn Pizza, which is right next door to the bar. The pizza was great, too!
The pitchers of margarita, for $20 during happy hour, were made fresh, and with lots of care and attention.

In the back of the bar, in a small corner, there is the always favorite Big Buck Hunter. Several folks from happy hour gave it a shot.
The only downside was that the karoake that starts at 10pm on Thursdays was not quite soothing for our ears, but good to know about if you're looking to belt it out.

We had a great turnout too, with 30+ people showing their appreciation of drinking in Brooklyn! Overall, Cherry Tree was a great find, and I will definitely be going back!
